Hartford Underground, a subsidiary of Connecticut Swing Dance Society, is a group of enthusiastic swing dancers who provide the opportunity for vintage swing dancing in the Greater Hartford area. We offer a weekly dance on Wednesday evenings 7 PM – 10 PM. Our seasoned teachers and community provide a comfortable and friendly environment in which to learn and dance.

The Hartford Underground staff helps to coordinate classes, workshops, dances and other events to bring vintage swing dancing to the community! If you are interested in helping us do this check out our volunteering section below!

Hartford Underground has plenty of volunteer opportunities for all those interested in donating their time and effort in making our swing dancing community strong and vibrant! Opportunities include everything from taking admission at the door to setting up for our events and everything in between. Perks vary depending on involvement level.
