HU Blog Update: January 22, 2013

Published by Jesse on

It’s a new year and we at Hartford Underground are determined to get everyone swinging out on the right…left…correct foot! We are offering a two track workshop followed by a DJd dance. Yeah, you heard me, two simultaneous workshops. “Intermediate” dancers can bring your “Beginner/ Perfecting Beginner” friends for a great day of dancing. Note: All levels are welcome to participate in the “Solo Charleston Moves” class. Whether you’re new to swing, want to refine your foundations, or looking to shiny up your dancing, we’ve got stuff for you! Looking ahead to the month of February, we’re teaching the California Routine on Thursdays before the practice hour and Swing 1A on Wednesdays before the Shish dance. We’re also happy to announce that we’re bringing in the Dig Jazz Band for some live music at our February 13 dance! Start telling everyone you know!! More info below!

Here’s a fun mashup of the Big Apple and the California Routine (partnered section in the middle) for your viewing pleasure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wi9CjDwFgG8

Cheers,
Diana

He has been teaching Blues and Lindy Hop classes in Connecticut for six years and can frequently be found DJing late night dances.
