We’ve finally done it! Our new website is up and running. After months of procrastination and weeks of hard work we have our new website!. Thanks to all the HU staff for their content additions. And a super special thanks to the talents of Brian Cook, our web designer. He’s talented, professional, and quick. I’d recommend his talents to anyone looking to update or redesign their web presence. Cheers, Javi
Before we tell you about the awesome of our Get Lucky Dance on Wednesday, we must extend our congratulations to Adam Dau and Mary Frederickson for taking 1st place in the Red Hot Stomp Off fast dancing challenge at the 1st Saturday dance! Supersonic swing outs FTW!
Have you heard of Bob, the traveling cardboard cutout who is hitchhiking his way around the States promoting the Dirty Dozen Weekend coming up at the end of April in Providence? Bob will be gracing Hartford with his presence at this Saturday’s dance! What’s so cool about Bob? Well, if you take a photo of yourself with Bob, you could be eligible to enter a drawing for a FREE pass to the Dirty Dozen Weekend! Check out www.dirtydozenweekend.com for more details on how to enter. Want another reason to dance with us on Saturday besides Bob, the awesome Lindy Hop Crash Course and Boot Camp during the afternoon, AND DJ Kevin Woods? We’re cooking up a special fun contest with awesome prizes including passes to Vinnie’s 4th Friday dance in February featuring the Perseverance Jazz Band!
It’s a new year and we at Hartford Underground are determined to get everyone swinging out on the right…left…correct foot! We are offering a two track workshop followed by a DJd dance. Yeah, you heard me, two simultaneous workshops. “Intermediate” dancers can bring your “Beginner/ Perfecting Beginner” friends for a great day of dancing. Note: All levels are welcome to participate in the “Solo Charleston Moves” class. Whether you’re new to swing, want to refine your foundations, or looking to shiny up your dancing, we’ve got stuff for you! Looking ahead to the month of February, we’re teaching the California Routine on Thursdays before the practice hour and Swing 1A on Wednesdays before the Shish dance. We’re also happy to announce that we’re bringing in the Dig Jazz Band for some live music at our February 13 dance! Start telling everyone you know!! More info below!
